Chiropractic Care

The central nervous system is your body’s information highway - it controls all functions and healing of your muscles, organs, and everything in between.

Misalignment in your spine can create and increase the risk of:

  • Neck and low back pain

  • Headaches and migraines

  • Stiffness in neck and shoulders

  • Illness

  • Future injuries

Spinal misalignment, or Subluxation, creates interference in your nervous system, and left untreated, these restrictions can damage your joints causing conditions like slipped disc, degeneration, and scoliosis.

Chiropractors focus on more than just symptoms, and help to improve overall health. By checking and adjusting Subluxation, we assist the body in expressing optimal health. Chiropractors are highly trained Spinal Care Specialists, focusing on conservative, drug-free, and surgery-free Corrective Care.

The Benefits of Chiropractic

Your Chiropractic Doctor will assess and align your body to optimize your nerve supply. A healthy spine provides optimal range-of-motion and flexibility, allowing you to avoid and recover better from pain and injuries.

Most patients utilise Chiropractic for managing headaches, neck and low back pain, and other symptoms, but there are many other benefits including improved posture, energy levels, and even improving your Immune System.

Our patients often report:

  • Better quality sleep

  • Improved focus and concentration

  • Able to sit longer hours without strain

  • Less “brain fog”

  • Better mobility and movement

  • Getting sick and cold less often

  • Improved Max-Rep with weight training

  • Better athletic performance and recovery

What We Do

Chiropractors are highly trained Spinal Care Specialists, focusing on conservative, drug-free, and surgery-free Corrective Care. In our clinic, we do more than just the adjustment.

We utilise effective techniques such as:

Muscle Release Technique

What We Do

Chiropractic Adjustment

A Chiropractic Adjustment is at the core of what Chiropractic is all about. An adjustment is a specific and focused input of pressure into the areas of your spine where subluxations are present. An adjustment is only performed by a trained and experienced Chiropractor. By addressing these subluxations there is better flow of information thereby achieving an optimal functioning nervous system. This helps to alleviate symptoms, restore movement and improve overall health and well-being

At Align Chiropractic our Doctors are trained in various techniques and use this knowledge to tailor-make a highly effective adjustment program, one that is best suited for your specific health and condition. Some of the techniques our Doctors are trained in are Gonstead Technique, Diversified Technique, Sacro-occipital Technique, Thompson Drop, Activator, Toggle, Extremity Adjusting and many more.

Being trained and able to utilise multiple techniques, we can be adaptable to any patient presentation and create an effective outcome. As needed, we often employ adjusting techniques that are more gentle but still highly effective.

Chiropractic Adjustments

Muscle Release Technique (M.R.T.)

M.R.T. is a unique form of muscle work that is the gold standard in removing scar tissue and adhesions built up within muscles, fascia, and nerves. M.R.T. is a combination of A.R.T (Active Release Technique) with other pin and stretch methods and the Graston technique.

With overuse and chronic strain, scar tissue binds between your muscles and fascia, limiting flexibility and function of the muscle up to 40%, and causes pain and stiffness in muscles and joints that can’t be treated by traditional Chiropractic Adjustments.

Our Doctors have undergone specific post-graduate education in these techniques to create optimal correction of old muscle memory and poor motor (motion) patterns. We find these techniques work phenomenally well for difficult shoulder and hip problems.

Functional Range Conditioning

For an optimal functioning body, nervous system health is most important. The Chiropractic adjustment helps to re-educate the brain, remove interference, and relieve pain and stiffness.

Along with Chiropractic adjustments, most patients are given tailored specific stability exercises and Functional Range Conditioning (F.R.C.®) throughout their program.

We find most patients have de-conditioned areas, which limit the speed of recovery of their body. These muscular weaknesses can be near the spine or around joints like the shoulder or knee. These often occur due to chronic poor posture, lack of daily movement, overusing smartphones, and old injuries that never healed 100%.

By adding F.R.C.® to your program, we can create a more consistent recovery process and allow the Chiropractic adjustment to “hold” longer.

Each patient has different old traumas, sports injuries, and stress patterns. By performing a detailed examination and periodic reviews, we create the best corrective plan for you.

Stability Exercises

Blocking Techniques

Through the years our Chiropractors have noticed more and more patients coming in with either loss of curvatures (forward head posture, rounded backs, loss of low back lordosis) or with scoliosis.

Loss of spinal curvature is one of the earliest contributing factors to bad posture, poor function and onset of spinal degeneration. At Align Chiropractic we use specialised Denneroll blocks to help improve and oftentimes restore these spinal curvatures. Using these blocks consistently in conjunction with Chiropractic adjustments can result in long lasting structural changes.

What is CORE-Score?

Health is more than not having symptoms. We have all had days where we slept too little, are fighting a cold, worried about family and work deadlines, and just feel run down and tired.

Increasingly in the health field, people want better brain-body health, and to truly feel healthy. This is where the CORE-Score comes in.

Align Chiropractic is the only provider in Singapore that utilises this advanced scanning procedure. We track your health progression using CORE-Score every review, so that we can have objective data on how you are progressing.

Nervous System Analysis Chiro | Align Chiropractic

Nervous System Analysis

The CORE-score is a validated, peer reviewed technology that documents/shows the individual’s neurology and stress adaptation. This system uses the 3 most important measurements of spinal neurology and can be done in a non-invasive, painless procedure that takes roughly 8-10 minutes.

The CORE score uses the data achieved through 3 major tests of neural efficiency:

Spinal Thermography

Surface Electromyogram (sEMG)

Heart Rate Variability

The full neural efficiency score that is collected gives our Doctor an accurate picture of how you are impacted by chronic stress. This score equates to the level of stress adaptation the individual is experiencing.

This testing procedure will also help to direct your Doctor as to where the major stressors are being stored and how the neural spinal stress is impacting your health.

The spinal thermography looks at the autonomic nervous system and how it controls heat from side to side of the spine. A healthy individual will be symmetrical in their spinal temperatures on analysis. When an individual has an area or areas of asymmetry in their spinal thermography, it is an indication of possible neurological stress and subluxation.

Surface Electromyogram (sEMG)

The sEMG analyzes the tone and symmetry of the paraspinal muscle firing patterns. A healthy individual will have muscle firing patterns that are of normal tone and symmetrical. Increased or decreased tone and asymmetry in paraspinal muscle function are indicators of neurological stress and subluxation.

Heart Rate Variability

This measures the pace from heart-beat to heart-beat. The more varied the pace is the healthier the individual’s stress response. This test helps determine the resiliency and reserve a patient has left and how balanced the entire autonomic nervous system is. All healthy individuals have very efficient neural processing. The CORE score evaluation looks at the key parameters and comes out with a score on a 0-100 scale to determine the health and function of the nervous system.
